Finally got the login rights to the wireless network for the Hostel. Yesterday was pretty tight for us. Having arrived at 6pm and had dinner at a local restaurant at 7pm, it's almost 9.30pm when we get settled down at the hostel. Nonetheless, we managed to squeeze in an hour of last minute shopping for essentials at the 南雅夜市-Nan Ya Night market. Lights off was at 11.30 for a early game next day. here's some of the pics for Day 1.
Day 2 is action action action. We are not far in terms of size, age and playing years. But for Shilin High and second game with Xiu Feng High School, they exhibit a far superior basics and game play. Despite the losses, our girls have defintiely gained valuable experience and have better insight of elite competitive softball.
Lunch with the Shilin High school Team was full of light hearted exchange of experience and laughter. Prior to dinner the girls had a a chance to stop at one of the softball and baseball shop to pick up some cool gears.
Dinner was really free and easy as the girls were given dinner allowance to choose their own food at the shilin night market.
With the exposure and experience gained today, I am certain the girls will approach the games tomorrow with a different mindset. So it's Zzzzz before the next challenge for us.
